After Class 10 — Choosing Your Stream
Class 10 results are out — now what? This is one of the biggest decisions of your life, and it's okay to feel confused. Here's a clear breakdown of every option.
Stream 1: Science (PCM / PCB / PCMB)
Choose Science if: You like problem-solving, logical thinking, experiments, or want a career in engineering, medicine, or research.
- PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths): Engineering (IIT, NIT), Computer Science, Data Science, Architecture, Merchant Navy, Aviation, Defence (NDA)
- PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology): Medicine (MBBS via NEET), Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Nursing, Veterinary Science
- PCMB (All four): Keeps both engineering and medical options open — heavier workload but maximum flexibility
Key entrance exams: JEE Main (engineering), NEET (medical), CUET (central universities), BITSAT, VITEEE
Stream 2: Commerce
Choose Commerce if: You're interested in business, finance, accounting, economics, or entrepreneurship.

Stream 3: Arts / Humanities

- ITI (6-24 months): Trade courses — Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic, Computer Operator. Government jobs through Railway, UPSC, SSC accept ITI.

After 12th Science (PCM)
- B.Tech/B.E. — via JEE Main (NITs, IIITs) or state CETs. Average salary: ₹6-12 LPA (CSE)
